NOTICE OF A MEETING OF
HAGWORTHINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN and Councillors are summoned to attend the meeting of Hagworthingham Parish Council that will be held on Monday 16 August 2021 at JJ’s Café, Main Road, Hagworthingham at 7.30 p.m. at which the under mentioned business will be transacted.
There will be a maximum 15 minute forum prior to the commencement of the meeting when members of the public may ask questions or make short representations to the Council. At the discretion of the Chairman there may be an additional 5 minutes at the end of the meeting at which members of the public can raise points relating to the meeting or items for consideration for inclusion on the next agenda.
Following which the Council will receive reports of the Police, County and District Councillors.

3. Declarations of Disclosable Pecuniary Interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011
not previously notified and/or consideration of any written request for Dispensation
4. Notes of the Annual meeting of the Council held on Tuesday 4 May 2021 to be approved as
Minutes to be signed by the Chairman
5. Casual Vacancy
To consider and decide upon co-option to the current existing Casual Vacancy.
6. Village Repairs and Renovations
(i) To receive an update on progress with renovations of street furniture;
(ii) to consider and decide upon repair/renovation of War Memorial at a cost of £1200, to include
the hire of scaffolding;
(iii) to consider a proposal by Cllr Freeman that the telephone box be considered for bedecking
with flower troughs for next years’ spring/summer season;
(iv) to consider any further ideas to progress the renewal of the village signs; and
(v) to receive an update on the LCC response to the request for replacement of stiles with kissing
gates and to decide how to proceed, if at all, to progress matters.
7. Litter Picking Equipment
To note the provision of litter picking equipment from ELDC which comprises 10 each of pickers, hoops and refuse sacks. Members are asked to consider and decide where these are to be stored and how they will be used.
Note: An updated risk assessment should be prepared prior to use and an audit made of what other protective equipment is available/needed, such as hi-viz vests and appropriate gloves.
8. Financial Matters
(a) Monies at Bank
(b) To approve payment of outstanding invoices
(c) To consider changing the Councillor nominated with the bank to receive statements/cheque
books
9. Planning Matters
To note the decision with regard to the following planning application:
Planning Permission - Change of use of existing childrens' residential
home, which is a listed building to form a private holiday let.

10. Highways Matters
(i) Overhanging Trees
An issue has arisen with regard to overhanging trees on the North Side of High Street,
approaching the crossroads for Bond Hayes Lane and Harrington Road and Members are asked
to consider and decide how to proceed.
(ii) Community Speedwatch Exercises
In light of the length of time it has been since the training undertaken on carrying out Community
Speedwatch exercises, Members are asked to consider whether a training refresher evening
would be appropriate and whether exercises will be carried out in 2021, or postponed to next
year.
11. Parish Council LCC Website Management Service
An opportunity has arisen through LALC to subscribe to a website management service
for a monthly cost of £15.00 + VAT; Members are asked to consider and decide
whether to trial this offer for an initial six months.
12. Lincolnshire Treescapes Fund Survey
The County Council has put in a bid for funding to plant trees around Lincolnshire and, if
successful, would like to offer the chance for parish and town councils to have some of the trees
on their land. Members are asked to consider the criteria in the survey and application form and
decide whether or not to apply; the deadline for applications being 3rd September 2021.
13. To receive reports from Councillors relating to outstanding projects
To receive reports from Members relating to outstanding projects and requests for matters to be
placed on the next agenda. No resolutions may be passed under this item.

The date of the next ordinary meeting of the Council is proposed as Monday 11 October 2021 at the winter start time of 7.00 p.m.
