NOTICE OF A MEETING OF HAGWORTHINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN and Councillors are summoned to attend the meeting of Hagworthingham Parish Council that will be held on Monday 19 October
2026 at JJ’s Café, Main Road, Hagworthingham at 7.30 p.m. at which the under mentioned business will be transacted.
There will be a maximum 15 minute forum prior to the commencement of the meeting when members of the public may ask questions or make short representations to the Council. At the discretion of the Chairman there may be an additional 5 minutes at the end of the meeting at which members of the public can raise points relating to the meeting or items for consideration for inclusion on the next agenda.
Following which the Council will receive reports of the County and District

AGENDA
1. To elect a Chairman
To note the resignation of Cllr Mark Clayton and to elect a Chairman.
2. Apologies for absence and reasons given
3. Declarations of Disclosable Pecuniary Interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 not previously notified and/or consideration of any written request for Dispensation
4. Notes of the meeting of the Council held on Monday 29 June 2026 to be be approved as Minutes to be signed by the Chairman at a later date
5. Resignations
In addition to Mark Clayton, to note the resignations of Leia and Samantha Richards with immediate effect and the advertisement of all three vacancies.
6. Recruitment of Parish Clerk and RFO
To receive an update on recruitment of new Clerk and RFO.
7. Remembrance Sunday
To consider Remembrance Sunday arrangements and to note the pre-ordering of the wreath.
8. Financial Matters
(a) Monies at Bank
(b) To approve payment of outstanding invoices (Appendix A attached) (c) To receive interim accounts and bank reconciliation
(d) To note confirmation from external auditor PKF Littlejohn that the notification of exempt status for the year ended 31 March 2026 has been logged
(e) To note that bank statements will need to be redirected from the bank to an alternative signatory
(f) To consider adding further signatories to the account.
9. Planning Matters
To note approval with regard to the following Listed Building Consent:-
00597/26/LBA White Cottage Manor Road Hagworthingham – Alterations to existing
dwelling to provide a sun room with existing sun room extension to be removed - APPROVED
10. Dales Charity
To consider the current non-representation of the Parish Council on the Dales Charity and consider what action, if any, to take.
11. Village Furniture
(i) To ratify the resiting of the litter bin on Water Lane and note the agreement in principle by
ELDC to empty same;
(ii) To consider necessary repairs to: Village gates; benches; Hagworthingham village signs; (iii) To consider condition of land at Bond Hays Lane/Church Lane triangle.
12. To receive reports from Councillors relating to outstanding projects
To receive reports from Members relating to outstanding projects and requests for matters to be placed on the next agenda. No resolutions may be passed under this item.
13. To receive a report from the Clerk in relation to Council matters
14. To receive general correspondence
15. To confirm the date of the next meeting of the Council
The date of the next meeting of the Council is proposed as Monday 30 November 2026 JJ’s
Café, at earlier start time of 7.00 p.m.
16. To resolve to go into closed session in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admission to
Meetings) Act 1960 to discuss the following matter:-
To note the appointment of new Clerk and RFO and to ratify the signing of the Clerk’s contract of
employment.
