NOTICE OF A MEETING OF HAGWORTHINGHAM PARISH COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN and Councillors are summoned to attend the meeting of Hagworthingham Parish Council that will be held on Monday 1 July 2024 at JJ’s Café, Main Road, Hagworthingham at 7.30 p.m. at which the under mentioned business will be transacted.

There will be a maximum 15 minute forum prior to the commencement of the meeting when members of the public may ask questions or make short representations to the Council.  At the discretion of the Chairman there may be an additional 5 minutes at the end of the meeting at which members of the public can raise points relating to the meeting or items for consideration for inclusion on the next agenda. 

Due to purdah restrictions there will be no reports of County or District Councillors.

3.  Declarations of Disclosable Pecuniary Interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011 not previously notified and/or consideration of any written request for Dispensation
 
4.  Notes of the Annual meeting of the Council held on Monday 20 May 2024 to be approved as Minutes to be signed by the Chairman 

5.  Co-Option to Vacant Seat

To note the vacant seat remaining and to receive details of any persons wishing to be considered for Co-Option.

6.  Progress of provision of defibrillator

To receive an update on progress of permissions and arrangements for providing a second defibrillator on Manor Road. (Min 14, 20.5.24 refers)

7.  Community Speedwatch

To further consider progress with restarting Community Speedwatch exercises.  

8.  Benches in the village

To review the benches in the village and consider any necessary repair/replacement needed.

9.  Grass cutting and verges

It is proposed by Cllr Hewitt that the Council considers extending the grass cutting to include maintenance of verges and footpaths in the village.  The scope, manner and selection/exclusion process would need to be considered and determined and the means/permissions to carry out any additional works on a regular basis be obtained.

10. Financial Matters
 
(a)  Monies at Bank

(b)  To approve payment of outstanding invoices, including £1816.80 + VAT to LIVES for the defibrillator and cabinet – noted as S.137 expenditure

(c)   Any update on bank signatory arrangements

11.  To receive reports from Councillors relating to outstanding projects 
 
To receive reports from Members relating to outstanding projects and requests for matters to be placed on the next agenda.  No resolutions may be passed under this item.

12.  To receive a report from the Clerk in relation to Council matters

14.  To confirm the date of the next meeting of the Council

The date of the next ordinary meeting of the Council is proposed as Monday 2 September 2024 at 7.30 p.m.
